The purpose of teacher blogs is to inform students and their families of day-to-day learning and activities throughout the school year.  We will continue to communicate learning opportunities and will provide links to online learning resources through these blogs.  Important information related to all school decisions will continue to be emailed to parents/guardians and can also be found on the CBE website ( www.cbe.ab.ca ). Children are naturally curious learners and there are opportunities at home to engage their learning. As a health and safety measure, the Calgary Military Museum is closing because of Corona Virus. Unfortunately, the field trip scheduled for March 16 is CANCELLED.  Hopefully we can rebook in the future.

This week, students continued working on their Colony Brochure's. Each brochure includes a detailed map and legend. Students also worked on creating written descriptions for their colony's trade and economy, military force, form of government, fun things to do, as well as section persuading people to move to the colony.

This week, students have been working on their Colony brochure project. We have also started a novel study of the book, "The Wild Children," which takes place during the Russian revolution.
